Congratulations are due to Naren Vohra for securing two internships scheduled this Spring and Summer 2022. Naren is participating in an 8 week virtual internship at, and supported by Woodwell Climate Research Center. In his project he models ground deformation due to thawing permafrost. Woodwell Climate Research Center is a leading source of climate science that drives the urgent action needed to solve the climate crisis.
In Summer 2022 Naren will return to Los Alamos National Laboratory (this time onsite, following his NSF MSGI funded virtual work in Summer 2021) to continue working on the development of accurate and robust numerical methods for integrated hydrology models that couple surface and subsurface flows with mentors in the Applied Mathematics and Plasma Physics Group in Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Way to go, Naren!
