Mathematics graduate student receives a Fellowship to study wildfire propagation

Nicholas Pantuso (Mathematics December 2022 MS alum) will start his Research Fellow position in January 2024 at the USFS (United States Forest Service) and will be involved in a project on "3D Fuel Mapping, Fire Modeling and Analysis". This topic is closely related to Nico's MS thesis on "Operator splitting for a wildfire model in a heterogeneous environment with a surrogate wind velocity field". Congratulations Nico!
